(a) The antiangiogenic effect of sodium salt of SCR7-pyrazine was assessed by placing the filter paper discs (soaked with 10, 50, 100 and 250 μM) on the mesh of blood capillaries in the well-developed chorioallantoic membrane in a 10–12-day-old fertilized embryo. (b) The qualitative estimation of the effect of sodium salt of SCR7-pyrazine on inhibition of formation of new blood vessels was visualized (post 48 h) and captured using Zeiss microscope (Germany). The region where soaked discs were placed is indicated as white circles, with black arrows showing finer neovasculature and blue arrows as the bends of the existing blood capillaries in the region of diffusion of the compound from the discs. (c) The formation of new vasculature in the presence of different concentrations of inhibitor was quantified and represented in the form of histogram with error bars.
